It was reported that APCC'98 will be held in Singapore on Nov.23 ? 27.
OECC'98
Dr. Kuwahara reported that OECC'98 (held in Chiba Japan at July) collected about 640 technical papers, and was
successfully closed.
APCC/OECC '99
Dr. Aoyama has announced that the joint conference APCC & OECC will be held in Oct.'99 in Beijing, China. It will
be a worthy conference for good communication between both sides: optical communication research and network
architecture research.
ISPACS'98
Dr. B. Qiu reported the success of ISPACS'98 held last week in Australia, where about 40 papers from all over the
world were presented. Next year, ISPACS'99 will be held in Phuket Island, Thailand.
APNOMS'98
Dr. Ejiri reported the summary of APNOMS'98 held on Sep.16-18 in Sendai, Japan. (Details were attached to the AP
Newsletter No.14). The next APNOMS will be held in Sep.'99 in Cheju Islands, Korea.
